D. EL. ED. COURSE

The college offers a diploma course in education, D.El.Ed, which is a course in elementary education. It is a 2 year full time diploma course to train teachers for primary level education and can be done with classroom training or distance learning. It is a 4-semester course to prepare students to work in primary/ upper primary schools in different states of the country. The design of the course is such that it includes practical training and internships along with classroom training. It includes principles of child development, education practice, and the role of the teacher in grooming the students.

Students are admitted (online admission) in the course based on merit (marks obtained in 12th Standard), as per the criteria of the Rajya Shiksha Kendra (MP Online) M.P State Government, and the selection process as per the policy of the Institute.

ELIGIBILITY FOR D.EL.ED

The candidate should possess good communication skills, patience, creative thinking, and an aptitude to teaching. It is a course for undergraduates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% minimum marks. The age limit might vary from one state board to another. However, broadly the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years. One can check the respective state board’s requirements before applying.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Admission process consists of an entrance exam followed by an interview if the candidate clears the entrance exam. Entrance tests are conducted on an annual basis by state boards for admission to this course. Admission is granted to the candidate, based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam, the performance of the candidate in the interview.

CAREERS AND JOBS

• On completing the D.El.Ed , candidates can apply in Private schools, Government schools, Nursery schools, Daycare centres, online educator, Coaching centres and Private tuition classes. They can take up jobs as a junior teacher, content writer and/or reviewer librarian, record keeper, education counsellor.
• Candidates who have completed the D.El.Ed can further pursue the Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) course and undertake a full time teaching job.

ELIGIBILITY

• 50% marks in class 12, at a Higher Secondary/equivalent educational qualification for general category students & 45% for reserved categories.
• 5% relaxation for ST/SC Candidate.
• Reservation as per government norms is available.
• Students should be above 17 Years.
